Fuels

Two shapes. One heat.

Round biomass briquettes

Briquettes

Logs for the boiler that takes a larger fuel.

Short, dense pieces pressed from sawdust, groundnut shell, mustard and cotton stalk, bagasse, husk, and similar residue. They sit in the grate the way coal or firewood did, without a chemical binder.

Form
Cylindrical log, about 90 mm across
Moisture
Typically under 12%
Heat
Often in the 3,500–4,200 kcal/kg band
Biomass pellets

Pellets

Small cylinders for a feeder that runs itself.

The same family of residue, cut finer and pressed tighter. Plants that already dose fuel automatically can take pellets in place of a shovel and a grate.

Form
Pellet, about 6–12 mm across
Moisture
Typically under 12%
Heat
Often in the 3,500–4,500 kcal/kg band

Sizes and heat values are typical for this kind of fuel in India. They stay as placeholders until Udbhav’s own lab sheet is added. Pressure and the plant’s own lignin hold the shape. Nothing chemical is mixed in.
